Are the cars fully insured?

Yes. All of our hires come with fully comprehensive insurance included in the price. There is an optional crash damage waiver at the cost of £50 per car if you wish to have this included.

What is the Crash Damage Waiver (CDW)?

In the unfortunate circumstance that you have an accident, the CDW will exempt you from paying any excess.

Is there unlimited mileage?

All of our self-drive cars have unlimited mileage, meaning that you are free to drive wherever you like within the UK!

Do you offer a delivery and collection service?

Yes, we can deliver the car and will provide a separate quote for the delivery charge. If the car is collected from us, we will safely store your car until the hire period is over.

Will you show me how to use the car?

Yes. You will receive a 30 / 60 min tutorial for your car. You will drive away knowing everything there is to know!

Is there breakdown cover included?

Yes. All of our cars are classics (our youngest was produced in 1969) which means, although they are all mechanically checked and serviced each time to the highest standard prior to being hired, they can encounter problems. We will do our absolute best to get a replacement vehicle from our fleet to you but if this is not possible, we want to make sure you still have a vehicle to drive. The breakdown cover will include a courtesy car so you can continue your journey!

Do you offer a bespoke service?

Yes. If there is something you would like one of our cars for but you cannot see that service listed on our site, please get in touch and we would be happy to see how we can help.

Minimum age for car rental?

This varies. Please see below:

* If you are aged 25 – 29, we will need to refer to our insurers prior to your booking being confirmed. Once we’ve had the green light, we can confirm the booking!

If I have points on my licence, can I still hire the car?

Potentially. If you have 6 points or less that are made of more than one offence, fine. If you have more than 6 points we will need to refer to our insurer to ensure that you are covered. If you have a 6 point offence, we will again need to refer to our insurer. If you have any questions on this, just ask.

How will you check my licence for points?

We use the DVLA licence checker. It will require you to input your driving licence number, national insurance number and date of birth into a link we provide on our booking confirmation. This will produce a unique code that we will need from you to enable us to have a quick glance at your driving licence details, print off the page and then we’re good to go.

What documentation will I need to provide for a self-drive hire?

We will need your driving license plus a utility bill dated within the last three months with matching addresses.
